The new album "Hotel Valentine" by Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori, the unit of Cibo Matto, is finally released after 15 years of silence.
After the release of their second album "Stereo ★ Type A" in 1999, Cibo Matto had stopped their live activities since 2001, However, they returned to the stage for the first time in about 10 years at a charity concert held in the United States in 2011 to support the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake, and this marked the full-fledged resumption of their musical activities.
＜The two women have said that "once we got away from each other, we realized what we couldn't do without each other, and how special it is to have two people together to create something new". The idea of making a film without images, just sound, called "Hotel Valentine" was sparked at several meetings to reunite the band.
The resulting album, "Hotel Valentine," is a love story about a ghost who creeps through the corridors of a hotel, a film created by the imagination of the two Cibo Matto members, and is like the soundtrack to that film.
The Japanese domestic release will include two bonus tracks in addition to the contents of the original US release.
