The geometry and rhythmic certainty of first-wave techno and the linear clarity of digital minimalism combine to reveal their themes. There, the directness and explicit rarity of rhythm and harmony betray the complexity of the form. It follows a slow process of disclosure and development, reshaped under a new order. It is a process of sonic origami.
