The event took place in May 2013, the first in Japan in 16 years.坂本龍一The performance at Suntory Hall on May 9, 2013 was filmed.
The performance was filmed from the orchestral version of "still life" "Still Life - orchestra version" from the album "out of noise" (2009) to the orchestral version of "still life" from YMO's 2nd album "Solid State Survivor" (1979), which was also recorded at the time. The orchestra version of "Still Life - orchestra version", "Castalia", which was composed with the image of an orchestra at the time and performed for the first time with an orchestra, and "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence", "The Last Emperor" and "The Sheltering Sky", which are from film music, are newly performed with an orchestra. The album includes many masterpieces newly arranged for orchestra, including "Castalia" for the first time, "Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence坂本龍一The album features a wide variety of sound worlds created by the piano and full orchestra.
