Whenever someone sings a children's song, the circle of singing naturally spreads to everyone in the room. Recently, however, many of these songs have disappeared from music textbooks, and many of them are no longer familiar to today's children. The disappearance of shoka and children's songs, which have been loved by generations of children, is synonymous with the loss of the ability to convey the original landscape of Japan and the lifestyle, culture, and customs of the time, as well as the loss of valuable shared experiences between generations.
This "にほんのうたis a series of works started with the idea that beautiful and nostalgic Japanese shoka and children's songs can be revived and breathed into new life by artists leading the current music scene with their own sensibility, so that they can be handed down to children who will carry the future in a form appropriate for the current era.
