This is the first solo album that started Ryoji Ikeda's consistent digital sound design. The original version of this album, which had a strong impact on the music scene, was released on Ikeda's own label, CCI Recordings, in February 1995. At the strong request of the founders of raster-noton, the album has been re-released with a new jacket. This work is the culmination of 10 years of production from the mid-80s to the mid-90s by Ryoji Ikeda, one of Japan's proudest sound creators. Composed of three parts, "channel X," "5 zones," and "luxus," this is an edgy, high-quality ambient piece that expresses a skillfully created expanse.
