Formed in 1978 by Haruomi Hosono, 坂本龍一, and Yukihiro Takahashi, the band led the techno/new wave movement of the 1980s and literally dominated the Japanese music scene. 10d}}.
In 2011, the band performed in the US for the first time in 31 years. With Keigo Oyamada, Tomohiko Gondo, and Christian Fennesse as supporting members, the band performed "FIRECRACKER," "BEHIND THE MASK," "LOTUS LOVE," "TOKYO TOWN PAGES," "RYDEEN 79/07," and more under cool, world-renowned lighting. The enthusiastic reaction of the local fans attests to the high level of perfection of this live performance.
