Hotel Valentine," the new album by Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori of the unit Cibo Matto, finally appears after 15 years of silence!
The second album "Stereo" was released in 1999. ★ After the release of their second album "Stereo Type A" in 1999, Cibo Matt stopped performing live in 2001, but returned to the stage for the first time in about 10 years at a charity concert held in the U.S. in 2011 to support the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake.
＜The two women have said that "once we got away from each other, we realized what we couldn't do without each other, and how special it is to have two people together to create something new". At several meetings to reunite the band, they were inspired to make a film called "Hotel Valentine," a film without images, only sound.
The resulting album, "Hotel Valentine," is a love story about a ghost who creeps through the corridors of a hotel, a film created by the imagination of the two Cibo Mattos, and a soundtrack to that film (which has no images).
The Japanese domestic release will include two bonus tracks in addition to the contents of the original US release.
