坂本龍一The first concerto for koto and orchestra written by Yutaka Sado and Kazue Sawai for koto player Kazue Sawai. 4 movements, winter, spring, summer and autumn, respectively. The four movements are Winter, Spring, Summer, and Autumn, each of which represents "four steady states, or life. Starting with the stillness of winter, the flowers and buds of spring spread out as if in slow motion, the scorching heat of the summer sun, and autumn, which is compared to life, is a journey toward death, and I am now in the autumn of my life. The performance of this piece was shown on May 16, 2010 at the "Untitled Concert:坂本龍一～The performance of this piece was televised on May 16, 2010 in "Ongaku Kata no Nai Ongakukai: The Charm of the Koto" and won the 17th Japan Professional Music Recording Award.☆
