Haruomi Hosono" created the origin of Japanese pop and rock music through Happiendo, Tin Pan Alley, and YMO. This is the second tribute album featuring unique and gorgeous artists from Japan and abroad!
In addition to former Tin Pan Alley musicians such as Dr. John, Haas Martinez, Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Shigeru Suzuki, and Tatsuo Hayashi, this album also features a special tribute album to the musician Haruomi Hosono,坂本龍一、大貫妙子Minako Yoshida, Buffalo Daughter, Anne Sally, Kiseru, and even elementary school students (!). and even elementary school students (!) participated.
This 2CD+1DVD release is a Hosono songbook overflowing with respect for Haruomi Hosono, love for pop music, and a spirit of experimentation.
The lineup of participating artists that transcends genres, generations, and national borders is a testament to the breadth and quality of Haruomi Hosono's musicality.
The DVD also includes a tribute video work by Thai cartoonist Wisut Ponnimit a.k.a. Tam and Masakatsu Takagi.
