Music
"SWITCH" is 坂本龍一's own work In addition, "SWITCH" features interviews with Hosono Haruomi and Yukihiro Takahashi about their own compositions, "10 Songs of 坂本龍一", and interviews in their private studio in New York City, as well as interviews with Hosono himself about the environmental facilities related to 坂本龍一's music. In addition to interviewing the artist himself, we have also covered his conversations with collaborators such as Alva Noto and 大貫妙子.
The process reveals the thoughts surrounding the music that led to his latest work, the posthumously released album "12.

Art: 坂本龍一's contacts with contemporary art are numerous, including his appointment as guest director of the first Sapporo International Art Festival in 2014 and his collaboration with Dumb Type, a pioneering art collective in Japan.
This feature goes back to New York in 1984, the year Sakamoto was first introduced to contemporary art, and recounts Sakamoto's encounters with Nam June Paik and John Cage.

Film: Film music has remained a fundamental element of 坂本龍一's career. In the February 2010 issue of "SWITCH," Sakamoto discussed Nagisa Oshima's unique theory while sharing his memories of "Merry Christmas in the Battlefield"; in the January 2011 issue, Sakamoto chose 10 films by Jean-Luc Godard to discuss; in the December 2015 issue, Sakamoto was interviewed by Yoji Yamada in a special feature on "Living with Mother," which was released in 2004; and in the December 2015 issue, Sakamoto was interviewed by the director of "The Last Time I Saw You," a film directed by Yoji Yamada. There is also an interview with Daito Manabe about Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu's "The Revenant," which was released the following year.

Environment: Having been vocal about environmental protection issues from early on, 坂本龍一 has made statements in various forms in SWITCH magazine. The November 2008 issue featured a feature on the activities of "more trees," a project led by Sakamoto that seeks to halt deforestation and reforestation. The issue also includes a documentary on a visit to Rikuzentakata City in July of the same year, in the wake of the Great East Japan Earthquake that struck in March 2011.
